get a stealth plug or a Line 6 Tone port, and an Apple Macbook, garage band is a great quality recorder, and it costs nothing. im sure theres better ways of doing it, but thats how im doing it

[..YouTube..] This OCD effect looks like a MXR Zakk Wylde Overdrive. At least that box does the same thing as Dave said. It boosts signal and gives your tone some extra crunch. Very good with tube amps because it makes them scream - very Wyldish tone.

[..YouTube..] the only effect i use a lot is my Boss RV-5 Reverb, which i use to add to my clean sound when i’m playing without distortion.

And a Wah that I use for some guitar solos =)
