get a stealth plug or a Line 6 Tone port, and an Apple Macbook, garage band is a great quality recorder, and it costs nothing. im sure theres better ways of doing it, but thats how im doing it

[..YouTube..] This OCD effect looks like a MXR Zakk Wylde Overdrive. At least that box does the same thing as Dave said. It boosts signal and gives your tone some extra crunch. Very good with tube amps because it makes them scream - very Wyldish tone.

And a Wah that I use for some guitar solos =)

[..YouTube..] he’s in a wheel chair, i seen this stuffliek synth/lop pads, sample pads that you can run singnals with, of course you’re most liekly goign to be usign digital effect which maynot be your thing, butthat’s always an option, you can trigger the pads with your hands like changing chords or turning up/down teh volume as you paly, stick a smaller box with a few “switches ” (cause what i gather they’re basicaly blank buttons you can program) to do the changes you need without having to use your feet.
