  9. [..YouTube..] I love the 7#9 chord. It’s a great movable dominant sounding chord. I must say, this is a great tutorial for someone just starting to get their feet wet in jazz guitar theory. How about doing one about the ‘pull’ certain chords have in progressions/turnarounds?

  10. [..YouTube..] The A13 is rooted off the low E string - play it like this 5X5677 - check the chord library at our website for a close look at that chord nextlevelguitar dot com

  47. [..YouTube..] i dont know what elevator music means. can u give me a song name of what elevator music sounds like?

    Posted by punkiassjunki | January 17, 2009, 9:02 am
  48. [..YouTube..] so for a 13th chord u add the II? as in D you would add E, and in G you would add F?

    Posted by TheOriginalMack | January 21, 2009, 7:36 pm
  49. [..YouTube..] what i ment by what was, you add the II after uv already added the VII and IX, making it a 7th add 9th add 2nd, damn that even sounded wired to me….

    Posted by TheOriginalMack | January 21, 2009, 7:38 pm
  50. [..YouTube..] roman numerals are for chords, arabic numerals are for scale degrees. so for a A13 D9 E9 it translates to: I13 IV9 V9

    Posted by rillloudmother | February 10, 2009, 2:31 am
  51. [..YouTube..] Adding 9th, 11th and 13th are really adding 2,4 and 6, which are left out of dominant chords. But since they are usually added on top of the chord they are called by the higher numbers. Adding a 13th to D you would add B. In G add an E. Watch his fingering will help too.
