  37. [..YouTube..] Great lesson. Mike McCready is the lead, but Eddie Vedder plays the intro by himself usually. Stone Gossard plays rhythm (and lead sometimes - like on Alive).

    I thought Justin’s guitar was an American standard Strat, not Tele.

  39. [..YouTube..] Just ran through it a few times and found it easier to use my thumb to fret the 6th string on those “slash” chords. Just a matter of preference, I guess. Still, a great song that’s pretty simple once you get the hang of it (for a beginner like me) and sounds beautiful.

[..YouTube..] Justin, I’ve been playing for years, and I thoroughly enjoy your videos because they’re very accurate and concise; which, as a seasoned musician, are things that I greatly admire. On this particular song, I’ve found it easier to use the old blues-style trick and wrap my thumb around the top edge of the neck to fret the root bass note, freeing my fingers to breeze through the D-shape chord structure. Either way works, and achieves the same tonal phrasing. Keep up the good work, mate! :) -EB
