[..YouTube..] Thanks bro. I used to live in Galway back when I was a student. I love Ireland. What a great place. I am from Brittany, so Ireland is like my Celtic brothers or something
[..YouTube..] Great stuff, thanks for posting. Glad you brought up the point about wonderful tonight and stuck on you being basically the same identical song, thought I was the only one that noticed that. Did Clapton ever sue over that?
[..YouTube..] yeah!!!thx for this dude!!!
hope u can teach me stick around by azure!!cuz i want to play that song for her..hope u’ll have it!!thx!!great job!
[..YouTube..] hey!
just for the intro figner pick riff i personally think it sounds better if you a full bend on 14 on the G string then go to 12 on the G then back to the 14b then down to 9:
[..YouTube..] Good good lesson man…But one more thing(i’m from portugal,so if my english it’s bad sorry) when you do the bridge you do the C and then the D and then the G but after the G you have to do the D and then the E and then the the C,etc…Try to do like I said!
[..YouTube..] Awsome song and instruction. Love your work and the sound you get from your Tele.
Have you done Keith Urbans “But for the grace of god”If you haven’t please, please do and post it.
cheers again.
[..YouTube..] You are an asset to youtube and the world of music in general. I’ve been playing for 5.5 months and your 3-chord method helps me learn nice sounding songs while I pull my hair out over trying to learn the harder songs. Gosh, I wish I had this when I was 16 - I could have been a contender!
[..YouTube..] Ever think of doing “The Wind Cries Mary” By Jimi Hendrix. IT’s a great mellow song that as a meaning like this one. I would really like it if you did do “The wind Cries Mary”.
[..YouTube..] dude your the man i’ve been trying to learn this song since i’ve got my guitar thank you so much hopefully after watching this i’ll be able to … p.s. nice guitar
[..YouTube..] Damn! you looked wonderful tonight! Awesome man! Just had my first electric lead guitar yesterday, and you just gave my guitar a whole new goal! Really really appreciate this.
Thanks.
[..YouTube..] damn.. this is cool.. i thought i perfected this song only to find out i havnt.. and that solo riff is great.. i was struggling to learn that part.. so cool thanks..
[..YouTube..] Mojo, I don’t know how to thank you but, you kick ass dude! The best teacher on youtube by far!! I’m wondering if you could find any KISS songs that you could teach. I know they are a little more complex but, you make guitar easy.
Merci mon ami,
[..YouTube..] Well, this sucks… I am sitting here at work, with no guitar! I am looking forward to going home and attempting this. You are a fine teacher - thank you!
[..YouTube..] First of all, thanks for your brilliant
lessons, I download them all and learn
step by step. Not easy in the age of 49.
I Love this song, it was the first song
I can “feel” the right chords without
looking.
I try to fingerpick it, but cant find
the right chords in the part:
[..YouTube..] You have one of the best natural teahcing manners I’ve seen. Great tutuorials. Dying to know what that accent is though. Just southern U.S?
[..YouTube..] I’ve been searching all over on how to play the riff properly (to sound as close to Clapton as possible) and I’ll tell you that this is the best mate. Thanks!
[..YouTube..] YOU know how to play “ON THE OTHER HAND” by Randy travis? Could you do a video of it? SOme ppl say it is in G G7,C and D and an A7 thrown in there.. but I look up the chords and it is D,G, A and E Which is correct? IF I were to Play and sing it my voice is Lower kinf of like Randy’s COULD you do A video on it?> TY so much for all your Videos!
[..YouTube..] MOJO you are a legend man… im learnin guitar with your videos, lol but the thing is when i start to sing the strumming goes all wrong lolz. thanks for the fine videos keep them comin
[..YouTube..] it has an eminor run down in it too but its hard to sing along with it at that point, im learning this too, sounds quality when picked and i taught me m8 how to do the solo with his leki, so now we got it cuming on …
[..YouTube..] ok at the end when you talk about the riff not to be rude but its wrng. it may just be frets. But look at some videos of clapton playing it when the camera focuses on this hands.everything else sounds 100% accurate!
[..YouTube..] Very well done, thanks alot. This would be alot better if I could sing though…at least I can play the guitar part now haha. You think you could do Hotel California?
[..YouTube..] Thanks for the insightful lessons. Please do not even get notice to the negative comments from people who have nothing better to do than criticize and insult. If people like that don’t need your help than why don’t they just pass on by your pages.
[..YouTube..] I have been looking through some of your videos, and you are a great teacher when it comes to explaining chords and strumming patterns. I was wondering if you knew Pretty Woman by Roy Orbison?? Thanks.
[..YouTube..] I have been looking through some of your videos, and you are a great teacher when it comes to explaining chords and strumming patterns. I was wondering if you knew Pretty Woman by Roy Orbison?? Thanks.
Wow. Thank you so much for making this video and sharing your knowledge. I’ve only been learning to play guitar for 3 weeks now and i have this song down, Thanks to you. If it wasnt for the video I believe it would have taken a LOT longer. I just need to work on changing chords correctly and cleanly. This is my fathers favourite song to my mother. Unfortunately he died 2 years ago and this is the first song I looked into playing, and I’m learning it to play for my mother in respect for my father. I can’t thank you enough. You are a great teacher!
Oh by the way, I’ve seen versions of this song, where you play the words as notes. I was wonderering, do you know where i could get the tabs for such a version? As i cant sing. Many thanks again.
[..YouTube..] love your site visited it today. So i bought my guitar 1 week ago so im trying to play these chords to this song but cant sing along as you say..ie G: its late.. D: wondering etc D: puts on…isnt it more like G: its late D:evening C: wondering..D: clothes to..G: puts on her etc etc…sorry absolute novice here..can you sing along please!
[..YouTube..] Sweet! Thanks for these vids, they’re brilliant. I would never have thought the solo was so simple, thank you for making it so easy to understand.
[..YouTube..] Mojo I got the wonderful tonight down pretty good thanks to you, and now the Stuck on You as well, (I use some differant chords and a capo) You are awesome my friend Your the best teacher on here. Thanks!!!!!
[..YouTube..] Nice video, and fun to watch. I just have a small addition/correction, if I may. The first D chord should be played with the F# bass (i.e. 2nd fret on 6th string). So, the main theme goes like this: G, D(F#), C, D…etc. This is especially good for the finger-picking version.
[..YouTube..] Hello Mojo, Nice video!!
I think that you added more notes to the fingerpicking than the notes that you explain.
I can’t realized which are them.
Can you tell me?
Thank you.
[..YouTube..] awesome lesson. i really like your stuff. i think this will be the first song that i commit myself to learning. the fingerpicking looks like it can be fun….sounds great!!
[..YouTube..] Thanks for this. Clapton stuff rules! I only know two other songs so far which are Sunshine of Your Love and Bad Love. Nice work here looking forward to more
[..YouTube..] now this is what i am talking about!! Keping things simple. Thanks and appreciate the tutorial on this. This was also my first song that i learned.
[..YouTube..] I just wanted to take a minute to say thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge of the guitar and teach in a way that someone like myself can understand! I find your teaching to be very helpful. Please, don’t listen to what some consider to be funny when it is actually very rude and inconsiderate! Keep on playing man!
[..YouTube..] I’m really confused. I just found an old guitar from a long time ago, and I tried playing it after I tuned it.
I can hold some of the chords, but the strumming with the right hand is especially hard for me. And I don’t know why…
I feel like I’m getting all 6 notes individually, instead of the smoothe sound you get. Also, how do I know whether or not to go up or down, and how many times?
Sorry for all the questions. I feel really insecure about this since I live with two musicians…
[..YouTube..] It takes practice… lots of practice.
The hardest part of learning to play the guitar is the very start. Just practice strumming in an down, up, down, up, down… pattern, after a while it will begin to feel more natural.
[..YouTube..] this is very good for beginers…but i think is better to play like this…”do i look alright”,alright with Em…this is my opinion…sorry for my bad english…
[..YouTube..] thats really helpful but one spot isnt right… between 630 and 640 it sounds like you are playing an extra note but you dont say what it is… i think lol maybe im just playing it wrong
[..YouTube..] Your singing was great. I do have a question since you’re taking them, it’s about strumming technique. I’m new and so I only strum down. I noticed that you also strum up and I was wondering if there is a strict way of doing that and which strings do you choose to up strum…I don’t know what I’m talking about, can you help me out?
thumb plucks the bass E string
index - G string (3rd string)
middle next string or b (2nd string)
back to index or g 3rd string)
then the e string (1st string)
so bass with p, then index, middle, index, ring finger (3, 2, 3, 1)
[..YouTube..] Yeah can u show us the fingerpicking part after the high E. Im really trying to learn this song. I went to abount 18 websites and i still dont get it. your vid was the best so far.
[..YouTube..] i leanrnt from mojo too and he’s great! anyway about the fingerpicking…its THUMB,INDEX,MIDDLE,INDEX,RING,MIDDLE,INDEX,RING..AND THEN CHANGE CHORDS. Hope you get it!:)
I’ve been playing the guitar right now for 1 month and can already play the strummed version (I do with a Em in the bridge though, which sounds better to me). Right now I’m practicing the fingerpicked version and I’m progressing rather quickly.
[..YouTube..] ive been playin since i was 8 and now im 19 and ive been playing in local gigs with my band but i was in a head on wreck and flipped 5 times a few months ago, lost my eye and broke my left hand and i cant move it too fast bc it hurts too bad when i play. but i found your videos that make the songs simpler but still sound the same so i can actually keep playing guitar, i just about lost my faith when i broke my hand but now i saw your vids, that faith is back thanks to you.
[..YouTube..] ran out of room but can i request a band cross canadian ragweed. ive been trying 17 and this time around by them but i cant find the tabs to them though. but this song by eric is amazing and it was my first real song i learned when i was about 9 or 10. thx dude keep rockin!
[..YouTube..] ive been playing guitar since i was 8 now im 19 and just a few months ago i was in a head on wreck and flipped 5 times lost my eye and broke my left hand, got 2 screws in it. but i played in local gigs but ive been out since the wreck bc its hard to play the advanced music i play bc my hand hurts too bad when i play the bar chords and such but now i found your vids and i can still play guitar with simple songs and they still sound great at the same time. thanks to you i still might make it.
[..YouTube..] So sorry to hear about the troubles you are going through, but I am glad that music is helping you feel better. I am very thankful that you posted this message. That’s very generous and thoughtful of you to do so. Take good care! Mojo.
[..YouTube..] These vids are a major help. I stopped playing like 20 + years ago from hand problems and arthritis. Since then Ive had 9 surgeries on my left hand and its kinda retarded. (easy way to explain it) So these help me feel like I can play. Now if I can remember my chords.
[..YouTube..] You know i been watching your vids and i think you have a talent for teaching. But what happened to “The G and Em for the lyrics ” Do i look all right”?
I’ve been having guitar lessons since 1 month and I am totally passionate about it !
With great interest and respect I watch your video’s and then try out some songs…
Maybe this little request : the U2-song “Stay” as performed accoustically by The Edge in Boston on their Elevation Tour (you can find this version on the corresponding DVD)
What a version ! But as far as I know, no tutorials on the internet or Yout Tube…
[..YouTube..] hiya. i had a guitar for my b’day. although im 33 i really want to learn and its all coming along well. i find ur vids on here really really useful and brilliantly presented! wld love u to show how to play ‘valerie’ by amy winehouse. i know the chords but cant get the strumming correct. pls help!! atb lee
[..YouTube..] Thank you so much for teaching us this beautiful song is the best lesson so far I have found in youtube!!
“and about the last coment”
What does RJH1300 stands for?? “REAL JERK HICK”1300x
[..YouTube..] i c the picking pattern… but is it the same pattern for all the chords if its different can u tell me im tryin to play this song on acoustic and i think it will sound great with the picking pattern
THANKS
[..YouTube..] just like to add to those who loved your vid…you have a great way of teaching, its precise and very clear, easy to follow and easily be learned.thanks for all the help…keep up the good job.
[..YouTube..] when getting to the 12th and 14th frets, i got a little confused but overall you did a wonderful job. please disregard negative comments from others who seem to be a bit too immature. it takes a terrible person with no conscience to say the things they say like that. as always, only constructive criticism is useful or worthwhile.
[..YouTube..] Your lesson was just what I was looking for. After video the video, I was playing the song in about fifteen minutes-except for the finger picking which I’m just now starting to work on.
[..YouTube..] i have learned more from your 8mins of tution, than from 6 months of guitar lessons..you should consider producing a dvd..i’d buy it..!! excellent..P.S. do you have any videos for fingerpicking lessons for the right hand?..again excellent…
[..YouTube..] As an absolute beginer (at the age of 61 !!) I really appreciate your You tube lessons, thanks. Could you please tell me how much difference it makes using a good quality guitar rather than the cheap (£60 including amp) starter guitar I have purchased?
Thanks again for the lessons.
Roy
[..YouTube..] 1. Congrats for picking it up at 61.
2. Without spending an arm and a leg, I would recommend a guitar that does not hinder your development and progress. For example, the guitar should stay in tune, and should not have an action so high that it becomes painful to play…
[..YouTube..] man this is the pro lesson I tell u.. my profesor its a pro guitarist.. hahaha he has the same taste as u have… gr8 songs. ..
And while ur talking u remind my teacher… ur singing it’s not bad BTW… ur gr8..
[..YouTube..] Wow thanks for the great lesson bought my guitar (acoustic C&W ) three days ago and
thanks to your great lesson playing my first song . Gonna try all the songs you’ve placed here greetings marco
[..YouTube..] merci merci jai commence la guitar en septembre 2008 et c la 1ere chanson que j ai apprise grace a vous mr 3 chords guitar. From france…. thanks again.
[..YouTube..] merci merci jai commencee la guitar en septembre 2008 et c grace a cette video k jnai pas abandonne lol…. dc merci encore d mavoir fai decouvrir le plaisir de jouer d 1 instrument mr 3 chords guitar….from france
[..YouTube..] when i lost my teacher, i wanted to give up playing…. until i discovered your videos! thank you! gonna keep on learning now! very good help!
[..YouTube..] I finally bought my first guitar last month, only been putting it off for about 15 years, and even I can play this song now! Thanks for posting this vid, keep ‘em comin!!
[..YouTube..] thank you mr threechordguitar…….in one night you have me strumming this tune, me who just bought my first geetar ever last week!! you’re too deadly!!!
[..YouTube..] Excellent lesson. I’ve “played guitar” since I was a teen and have never gotten beyond strummin of chords. Tryed the riff and finger-picken and it sounded good. Thanks so much.
[..YouTube..] From all beginners I would like to thank you for the guitar lessons, and not taking the opportunity to show off like so many others do. Thank you.
[..YouTube..] Gee, i didn’t know it can be so easy!
Thanks for a great lesson. A real teacher who doesn’t look to show off but really to teach, and even the right hand included. Thanks for spending your time for us, the beginners.
[..YouTube..] Thank you … i,ve sang for years and always had a sneeky jelousy of the guitarists i,ve sang with …Bought a cheap guitar a few months ago and your lessons have brought me on a ton …thank you so much …
[..YouTube..] Thank you !!!! you make learning so easy ! perhaps I will never play like a professional but I can bring my guitar on camping trips and play enough that we can all sing along. I enjoy learning guitar now……. Keep it up !
[..YouTube..] Oh how i wish this solo version worked with my classical guitar…these nylon strings make it hard for me to get it to sound right, the bending is somewhat…improper But thanks for the video! Really helped a lot.
[..YouTube..] I learned this from you, even though i had a book with the exact notes. I just prefer a live demonstration and you provided that well. Thank you very much for providing us with these videos, they really do help! Keep on pluckin’
[..YouTube..] Hey thx for all the videos up till now you’re awesome :)))) I have a request can you show us how to play Nothing Else Matters by Metallica-I’d be grateful
[..YouTube..] I’m confused. When you play the picking nice and slow I hear 5 notes…bass and four more, but when you say “ok” and start playing it sounds like you added 3 mre notes.
[..YouTube..] this is awesome, you are a credit to the music industry and a very talented musician, here in the uk we salute you sir, i love eric clapton and for a complete newbie like myself you have made this very simple and exciting, i will be watching all your videos in order to get me playing and entertaining at my summer bbqs this years, thanks a lot
[..YouTube..] anytime, really enjoying this, only thing is i have one of the acoustics with 3 steel strings and 3 nylon… im looking to get a new set of strings with full steel for better sound, slowly but surely its coming together nicely speak soon matey.
[..YouTube..] I picked up my acoustic guitar for the first time properly on saturday. I can now play three songs thanks to you, and i cant put my guitar down, thank you very much from aberystwyth in wales, oh just wondering also if you have or are going to do any mumford and sons
[..YouTube..] Hey!I have a tiny bit of a problem. While Im playing G-D-C the base notes sound fine and PERFECTLY in tune, but when I go back from C to D that base note on the D (4th string open) just kinda “brakes” it!Its going all softer from G to D and to C and then suddenly the base note on the D just pretty much goes “f- you” on the softness “streak”!
[..YouTube..] i have watched a great deal of your videos and really feel that you are geting through to me. for a novice like myself i feel that there should be more emphasis on the strumming patterns (not just this clip) as these are just as important as the chords and are often overlooked. keepp up the good work
[..YouTube..] Good lesson here! Love how easy the song is, I think it’s very beneficial to really elaborate for people how guitar is pretty easy to learn (so many songs using the exact same chords with different rhythm) but very difficult to truly master.
[..YouTube..] howdy, its been a while as been mad busy with work and the house etc, been scrubbing up on some of the old stuff, was wondering???? can you play or have a video tutorial of “tears in heaven” by great king eric?? would be highly appreciated, im on your 3 chord guitar site and also mojo one too waiting for your response, keep playing mate and speak soon!
[..YouTube..] i’m just learning how to play chords and Im getting a little bit frustrated. What advice can you give me as far as increasing my patience?
[..YouTube..] i’ve been picking up songs by ear since i was 6…now im almost 16..and i like ur chords but just a suggestion…..try changing the chord C to C9 on the strumming part….btw:can u send me the tabs of the solo part?i just wanna differentaite
[..YouTube..] thank you so much for simplifying the guitar. i am beginer and finding it very comfortable with your lessons. Can you confirm the strumming pattern d/ d/u/d/u/- down/up??
[..YouTube..] Hi there! first of all congratulations for your amazing lessons! I’d be grateful if you could give me some information about the guitar you use in that video. Is it a warmoth-parts guitar? What was the price of it?
Maybe send me a private message if you don’t want these information in public sight. Thanks in advance and keep up the good work!!
[..YouTube..] Mojo your the best I love this Guitar.Wish I could find one like that..I would love to see you play Life in the Fast lane by Eagles.Much Love from Mississippi
[..YouTube..] Hey I have only just bought my guitar and I keep learning just Intro’s to songs such as Lenny Kravitz - Fly away But now thanks to you I have learnt 3 songs I carnt wait to learn some ore songs now
[..YouTube..] how many guitars do you own ?
[..YouTube..] Yeah so i’m kinda retarded and can’t get the chord progressions right, but i did get the solo down. Ur teaching is awesome and i’ma go back to practicing this. Thnx TCG!
[..YouTube..] hey thats sweet.
[..YouTube..] More than I deserve I suppose
[..YouTube..] That’s very nice of you.
[..YouTube..] my pleasure
[..YouTube..] im not getting it…..
in finger picking…. i dunno wat to start with or somthing cuz’ i cant read tabs cuz’ i dont know how to… help me how to read tabs
[..YouTube..] guitar(dot)about(dot)com/library/blhowtoreadtab(dot)htm
[..YouTube..] so its down down up up down up down?
[..YouTube..] Frankly, I can play it a myriad of ways, but what you wrote works also. At the end of the day, do it the way you can feel.

[..YouTube..] hi, ive noticed u av a few telecasters and ive wanted 1 for a while but whats been putting me off is that ive heard that the neck warps easy because its a bolt on is it true???

[..YouTube..] really useful thanks. just one quick request if it’s not too much trouble - ant chance of getting your tabs for the main riff (just so i know it) oh and btw - u sing pretty damn well!
[..YouTube..] Thanks for the kind words. Sorry about no tabs, but there’s this thing called copyrights

[..YouTube..] Great stuff, thanks for posting. Glad you brought up the point about wonderful tonight and stuck on you being basically the same identical song, thought I was the only one that noticed that. Did Clapton ever sue over that?
[..YouTube..] Nah, you can’t sue over stuff like that. All you need is one little note change here and there, and it’s all good…
[..YouTube..] yeah!!!thx for this dude!!!
hope u can teach me stick around by azure!!cuz i want to play that song for her..hope u’ll have it!!thx!!great job!
[..YouTube..] hey!
just for the intro figner pick riff i personally think it sounds better if you a full bend on 14 on the G string then go to 12 on the G then back to the 14b then down to 9:
-
-
- 14b-12-14–14b-12-9–14b-12-14
-
-
-
then after that use your version
[..YouTube..] Thanks for sharing
[..YouTube..] I don’t know that song but I will look into it.
[..YouTube..] dude where did you get that tele
[..YouTube..] Yeah with 9 in the G it’s a bit better. But it’s a very good instruction! I’ve learned it in 15 minutes (beginner!)!
[..YouTube..] Glad to be of help
[..YouTube..] Good good lesson man…But one more thing(i’m from portugal,so if my english it’s bad sorry) when you do the bridge you do the C and then the D and then the G but after the G you have to do the D and then the E and then the the C,etc…Try to do like I said!
Thank you for your patient

Em ???

[..YouTube..] Cool fun
[..YouTube..] Nicely done. I have learned weeks of skill just from one lesson. Much appreciated.
[..YouTube..] You made my day
[..YouTube..] ok at the end when you talk about the riff not to be rude but its wrng. it may just be frets. But look at some videos of clapton playing it when the camera focuses on this hands.everything else sounds 100% accurate!
[..YouTube..] Very well done, thanks alot. This would be alot better if I could sing though…at least I can play the guitar part now haha. You think you could do Hotel California?
[..YouTube..] Yes, I should be able to
[..YouTube..] Remember that I don’t pretend to do it note for note
Check out my website and you will see that my goal is to simplify, not to imitate
[..YouTube..] oh. i gotcha. and dont worry i like to pretend my jackson is a strat to.
[..YouTube..] So easy! Thanks so much for your effort. It’s so motivating to get a song under my belt - keeps me going!
[..YouTube..] Congrats to you on your success
[..YouTube..] hey man nice job
i have a question
the strumming
is it one chord down,down,up,down,up,down
andthen the next chord
[..YouTube..] Can you do Money for nothing by dire straits?
[..YouTube..] I wish
[..YouTube..] Can you do tears in heaven !!!??? Pleeeeeeease! T_T
[..YouTube..] Look you need to pick your lessons up a notch
You want to be a teacher get better
[..YouTube..] Idiots never fail to put a smile on my face - and it looks like you succeeded in that endeavor. Thanks for the smile.
[..YouTube..] Thanks for the insightful lessons. Please do not even get notice to the negative comments from people who have nothing better to do than criticize and insult. If people like that don’t need your help than why don’t they just pass on by your pages.
[..YouTube..] Thanks for the support! I appreciate it
[..YouTube..] I have been looking through some of your videos, and you are a great teacher when it comes to explaining chords and strumming patterns.
Thanks.
[..YouTube..] What a great song… I haven’t played it in ages.
[..YouTube..] thanka alot
[..YouTube..] Sure thing!
[..YouTube..] thank you so much. not only do i have fun trying to play it, your spiffy to watch as well.
P.S. your site is helpful to.
[..YouTube..] Thanks for the kind words!
[..YouTube..] Thank you so much, you are a great teacher and thanks so much for doing this for everyone

[..YouTube..] Can someone help me out with the strum pattern? I keep messing it up.
[..YouTube..] You’re an amazing teacher.
[..YouTube..] Can’t use yer lesson and not thank you. Thank you, great teaching, nice guitars!
[..YouTube..] Yea can someone help me with the strumming pattern?
[..YouTube..] Thank you for the kind words

[..YouTube..] Mojo I got the wonderful tonight down pretty good thanks to you, and now the Stuck on You as well, (I use some differant chords and a capo) You are awesome my friend Your the best teacher on here. Thanks!!!!!
[..YouTube..] great job ive learned it all
[..YouTube..] Nice video, and fun to watch. I just have a small addition/correction, if I may. The first D chord should be played with the F# bass (i.e. 2nd fret on 6th string). So, the main theme goes like this: G, D(F#), C, D…etc. This is especially good for the finger-picking version.
[..YouTube..] It’s down, down, up, up, down, up:) Keep on practising, man, you’ll get that.
[..YouTube..] any chance u will do In This River by ZAKK WYLDE?
[..YouTube..] great lesson thanks a mil
[..YouTube..] Maybe Mainstreet would be a nice song to learn to people.
That song is a little bit like this one
[..YouTube..] Searched for everything to learn song. You did it.
Thanks a bunch
[..YouTube..] Excellent is there any chance of you playing ole mexico i think it was george strait that did this song. thanks
[..YouTube..] Good lesson man. I use three diffent chords. I use A, D minor , and E. I never knew the solo though. Thanks much.
[..YouTube..] Hello Mojo, Nice video!!
I think that you added more notes to the fingerpicking than the notes that you explain.
I can’t realized which are them.
Can you tell me?
Thank you.
[..YouTube..] very nice my mom danced to this song at her wedding shes gonna be so surprised
[..YouTube..] Hi, I was also wondering if you could do the finger picking part again and show us exactly how to go through one cycle?
Thanks a lot!
[..YouTube..] Hello Mojo, Can you do David Cooks version of “Always Be My Baby”. He’s this year American Idol.
Thanks
[..YouTube..] awesome lesson. i really like your stuff. i think this will be the first song that i commit myself to learning. the fingerpicking looks like it can be fun….sounds great!!

[..YouTube..] fuck u
[..YouTube..] I really want to believe that you can do better than that… right?
[..YouTube..] hey can u tell me ur amp settings to get that sound?
[..YouTube..] Well, let’s see… it was the Carmen Ghia, so it was volume at 1000hrs, and tone at 1300 hrs… I hope this helps
[..YouTube..] your an asshole genig
[..YouTube..] The chords are easy, i like the way you teach begginers. Well done mate!
[..YouTube..] Seriously genig90 grow up and make some friends asshole.
[..YouTube..] whats the strumming pattern ?
[..YouTube..] very nice!
thanks for the help
5*
[..YouTube..] thanks man just started learning and this helped
[..YouTube..] I just wanted to take a minute to say thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge of the guitar and teach in a way that someone like myself can understand! I find your teaching to be very helpful. Please, don’t listen to what some consider to be funny when it is actually very rude and inconsiderate! Keep on playing man!
[..YouTube..] Thank you for the kind words and the support
[..YouTube..] hey thanks alot
[..YouTube..] this is very good for beginers…but i think is better to play like this…”do i look alright”,alright with Em…this is my opinion…sorry for my bad english…
[..YouTube..] You’re great, thanks.
It’s a pleasure watching at your lesson.
Fabry
[..YouTube..] wow very cool my gf was just wanting me to learn this song
[..YouTube..] HA i love how he is like d…….brushes her long blonde hair and he put his hands up like you know…haha idk its funny
[..YouTube..] That was just wonderful! Helped me ALOT! Thanks man, great job you are doing!
[..YouTube..] thank you, this song is realy wonderful
[..YouTube..] mojo, man u rock with a capital R..thanks for sharing your talent!
[..YouTube..] where did you get that guitar
[..YouTube..] i love you, mojo!
[..YouTube..] Thanks for the lesson Mojo. Great job
[..YouTube..] THANX MOJO, really top lesson, you are the best, all the best STEVE.
[..YouTube..] thanks
[..YouTube..] dude im so pissed right now, i wrote a song that has the same chord progression lol, great playing btw
[..YouTube..] what a awesome lesson i have seen alot and i think you are a great teacher keep it up
[..YouTube..] thats really helpful but one spot isnt right… between 630 and 640 it sounds like you are playing an extra note but you dont say what it is… i think lol maybe im just playing it wrong
[..YouTube..] actually hundreds of songs has that progression
[..YouTube..] Beautiful picking…
[..YouTube..] Your a good teacher.
[..YouTube..] pussy
[..YouTube..] WOW!!! That’s great singing man
Your really good at guitar
Thanks for the great lesson, i’ll be sure to watch more of your videos
:D
[..YouTube..] Your singing was great. I do have a question since you’re taking them, it’s about strumming technique. I’m new and so I only strum down. I noticed that you also strum up and I was wondering if there is a strict way of doing that and which strings do you choose to up strum…I don’t know what I’m talking about, can you help me out?
[..YouTube..] thanx. . . . . want more songs ya. . . .
[..YouTube..] i came on to learn to play a song and ended up watching all your videos your the man!
[..YouTube..] there are a lot of helpfull videos about strummingon youtube. just type in strumming and youwill be on ur way
[..YouTube..] clapton plays the ’solo’ bit which you play on the 12th fret, on the 7th fret
[..YouTube..] i have the exact same polo shirt as him :O
[..YouTube..] What’s the strumming pattern?
[..YouTube..] We all know why. You crack me up. Nice video.
[..YouTube..] i dont no why ??
[..YouTube..] Explaining strumming patterns is very hard. Mojo probably does it different than Eric and even Eric changes it on his live shows.
Just listen to the track and try to figure it out yourself. It is much easier!
Thanks for the lesson Mojo! My parents were amazed, this is like ‘their’ song
Thanks again!
[..YouTube..] Down,Down,Up,Up,Down,Up .. Repeat
[..YouTube..] cause everybody wants to take there date home play em this song and get some ASS!!!
[..YouTube..] hooray!
[..YouTube..] down down
up up
down up
[..YouTube..] is this the fingerpicking combo?
thumb plucks the bass E string
index - G string (3rd string)
middle next string or b (2nd string)
back to index or g 3rd string)
then the e string (1st string)
so bass with p, then index, middle, index, ring finger (3, 2, 3, 1)
[..YouTube..] thnkz that help a lot ;D
[..YouTube..] i love your guitar may i ask where you got it
[..YouTube..] down down up up double
[..YouTube..] excellent lesson you have a new fan. thank you very much

[..YouTube..] i also dint get the bridge part.. help?
[..YouTube..] Yeah can u show us the fingerpicking part after the high E. Im really trying to learn this song. I went to abount 18 websites and i still dont get it. your vid was the best so far.

[..YouTube..] hey thanks for the lesson !!! my girlfriend loves that song so;)
[..YouTube..] Tell your GF for me that she has fine tastes
[..YouTube..] omg. thanks. how ironic, the first three chords I just learned were c, g, and d.
[..YouTube..] Wahhh I learn from U!!!! thank U very much!!!
[..YouTube..] it’s amazing how easy these songs are to learn. you’re a great help!
[..YouTube..] i leanrnt from mojo too and he’s great! anyway about the fingerpicking…its THUMB,INDEX,MIDDLE,INDEX,RING,MIDDLE,INDEX,RING..AND THEN CHANGE CHORDS. Hope you get it!:)
[..YouTube..] thanx!
(still, watching mojo’s video is just very exciting, and your helpful comment is,too…..)I love all you guys!
[..YouTube..] Thank mate that was mint!!
[..YouTube..] you’re really good! great….
[..YouTube..] that is amazing!! I want to pick up a guitar and play now…

[..YouTube..] this is great man! i haven’t held my guitar for a few years now… have to bring it out from its box now… keep on teaching!
[..YouTube..] decent stuff for a simple song, like the website and info…
[..YouTube..] “your looking for a sappy song…We know why” LOL.
Good lesson and your singing voice aint bad either.TY
[..YouTube..] that’s where I got stuck. good comment thanks man.
[..YouTube..] thanks for the lesson man, I have used that picking pattern on the wedding song of all places. nice job
[..YouTube..] Nice job on this video. Don’t apologize for your voice. Sounds good.
[..YouTube..] You rock, thanks so much!
I’ve been playing the guitar right now for 1 month and can already play the strummed version (I do with a Em in the bridge though, which sounds better to me). Right now I’m practicing the fingerpicked version and I’m progressing rather quickly.
[..YouTube..] THANKYOU for your inspiration!I am learning the guitar. It’s real hard for me.
[..YouTube..] this is great lesson, you explained the part perfectly
[..YouTube..] good ,clear, and it works!
[..YouTube..] Hey there Mojo,
I’ve been having guitar lessons since 1 month and I am totally passionate about it !
So Mojo…teach us some more !
Thx !

[..YouTube..] awsome! im a beginner and love this song…though could you give me the stumming pattern? i got the ddudu? not sure… or anyone…thanks
Roy
[..YouTube..] Thanks! And yes, I do have such a lesson… do a search for “fingerpicking”. also look at my John Prine lessons. Thanks!
[..YouTube..] 1. Congrats for picking it up at 61.
2. Without spending an arm and a leg, I would recommend a guitar that does not hinder your development and progress. For example, the guitar should stay in tune, and should not have an action so high that it becomes painful to play…
[..YouTube..] Thanks buddy….my wife loves this song (i do as well)…and i see good things im my immediate future (wink)……cheers
[..YouTube..] great lesson! you look like James Carville!

[..YouTube..] Thank you !!!! you make learning so easy ! perhaps I will never play like a professional but I can bring my guitar on camping trips and play enough that we can all sing along. I enjoy learning guitar now……. Keep it up !
[..YouTube..] Thanks for the lesson. Nice!
[..YouTube..] Oh how i wish this solo version worked with my classical guitar…these nylon strings make it hard for me to get it to sound right, the bending is somewhat…improper
But thanks for the video! Really helped a lot.
[..YouTube..] Due, you’re an awesome guitar teacher, thanks.

[..YouTube..] cheers buddy. helped loads
[..YouTube..] I am glad I could be of assistance. Thanks for the kind words!
[..YouTube..] I learned this from you, even though i had a book with the exact notes. I just prefer a live demonstration and you provided that well. Thank you very much for providing us with these videos, they really do help! Keep on pluckin’
[..YouTube..] wow this was very helpful and i love this tune <3
I bet this will help willie!!
lol
[..YouTube..] You break down for easy learning. I wish more people would take music at a more simplified approach.
I took piano lessons as a kid. Hate them, picked up a guitar and it took over my musical interests. It lead to banjo and mandolin.
No need to study sheet music, or theory. Just play from the ear and work on technique.
[..YouTube..] thanks Mojo!
[..YouTube..] Thanks for taking the time to share that with us.
Keep up the good work.
[..YouTube..] excellent instructor guitar.
[..YouTube..] Hay can u teach jimi hendrixs’ little wing? U take the frustration out of learning guitar!!!!
[..YouTube..] awsome, thank you
[..YouTube..] let it out bro … you are holding a lot of shit back …
[..YouTube..] Hey thx for all the videos up till now

[..YouTube..] Did you say B or E for the solo???
[..YouTube..] i like this dude
[..YouTube..] haha ur awsome dude! thanx alot! the gurl i played it 2 liked it alot so i owe u one lol
[..YouTube..] I’m confused. When you play the picking nice and slow I hear 5 notes…bass and four more, but when you say “ok” and start playing it sounds like you added 3 mre notes.
[..YouTube..] I like this song much ! And I played it as well. (^^)
[..YouTube..] Wow, thank you so much, what a useful video! Finally I understand finger picking!
[..YouTube..] good lesson, 4 star. but can u try to make the strumming pattern more clear.
[..YouTube..] is the right hand always down up down up down up … ?
[..YouTube..] What kind of tele, is that looks nice?
[..YouTube..] I use guitar studio on my blackberry, it has over 30,000 chords and shows tab and chordpro files too.. its pretty cool
[..YouTube..] Strum pattern for each chord?
D DU UD
[..YouTube..] THE STRUMMING PATTERN IS
DDU UDU
[..YouTube..] its morre like D DU DUD repeat
[..YouTube..] any body ever tell you u kinda look like billy bob thorton?
[..YouTube..] this is awesome, you are a credit to the music industry and a very talented musician, here in the uk we salute you sir, i love eric clapton and for a complete newbie like myself you have made this very simple and exciting, i will be watching all your videos in order to get me playing and entertaining at my summer bbqs this years, thanks a lot
[..YouTube..] You sir, officially made my day
[..YouTube..] Can this work with an acoustic guitar too?
[..YouTube..] Can I use my acoustic guitar for this?
[..YouTube..] that lesson my friend, is just superb! please keep it up!
[..YouTube..] GUARDIAN 787
i use acoustic guitar aswell as electric and it sounds pretty good to me on acoustic give it a try ..
[..YouTube..] anytime, really enjoying this, only thing is i have one of the acoustics with 3 steel strings and 3 nylon… im looking to get a new set of strings with full steel for better sound, slowly but surely its coming together nicely
speak soon matey.
[..YouTube..] bro thx for showing me a simpler way to play this… it doesnt even sound as good with barre chords
[..YouTube..] I picked up my acoustic guitar for the first time properly on saturday. I can now play three songs thanks to you, and i cant put my guitar down, thank you very much from aberystwyth in wales, oh just wondering also if you have or are going to do any mumford and sons
[..YouTube..] Absolutely!
[..YouTube..] You made my day. And from Aberystwyth, too! I lived in Swansea for a while. I love Wales. Thanks for the comment
[..YouTube..] Best video lesson I’ve seen in quite some time. And by the way, your singing isn’t THAT bad, hehe. Cheers and greetings from Portugal.

[..YouTube..] Great video ..it was a big help
[..YouTube..] very clear lesson
thanks a lot
hans
[..YouTube..] gorgeous
[..YouTube..] yes we do all know why
[..YouTube..] Hey!I have a tiny bit of a problem. While Im playing G-D-C the base notes sound fine and PERFECTLY in tune, but when I go back from C to D that base note on the D (4th string open) just kinda “brakes” it!Its going all softer from G to D and to C and then suddenly the base note on the D just pretty much goes “f- you” on the softness “streak”!
[..YouTube..] i have watched a great deal of your videos and really feel that you are geting through to me. for a novice like myself i feel that there should be more emphasis on the strumming patterns (not just this clip) as these are just as important as the chords and are often overlooked. keepp up the good work
[..YouTube..] Un maestro el pelao ehhh!! Thanks,
[..YouTube..] thanks MOJO, I know i give you a lot of shit. it’s only constructive criticism, lol This one was good, especially the solo.
[..YouTube..] thank you… ^_^
[..YouTube..] Hahahaha good lesson Mojo and very funny video as well. 5 out of 5.
[..YouTube..] what is the struming patern i know this is a trash question but please what is the strumming pattern
[..YouTube..] strum pattern= D DU UDU
[..YouTube..] Good lesson here! Love how easy the song is, I think it’s very beneficial to really elaborate for people how guitar is pretty easy to learn (so many songs using the exact same chords with different rhythm) but very difficult to truly master.
[..YouTube..] u rock
[..YouTube..] thanks
[..YouTube..] now i can learn the chords of this song!!
