I noticed a HUUGE increase in my speed at picking and at hammer-ons and pull-offs when i started practicing with one. It also makes it more fun and challenging to practice, cuz you dial up the speed and try to keep up with it for a good 5 mins. at a time

Anyways, I am having problem with the hammer on. I down pick the 12th fret on e and while keeping my finger on the 12th fret, I press on the 15th fret but I can barely hear it. How come yours was so loud? Is there a secret or something?

I have a boss MD2 mega distortion pedal and a relatively old peavey practice amp. Is there any way i can get this sound with them or will i need to buy something else? [..YouTube..] albhstar, i don’t know it someone already answered ur question or not so i’ll try to help: don’t just press down on the fret. like he said REALLY try to hammer down on it and hopefully it will get better for you. and after a while it becomes a lot easier
