  10. [..YouTube..] vai can’t even play that fast… and don’t compare them
they both know music theory, can play music, but they have different style in playing guitar and even different techniques

and FYI there is not even a line to tell whos the greatest, the best, the fastest guitarist of all

all guitar heroes have great technique and therefore they are great

  11. [..YouTube..] just for to make sure how fast vai cane play check out ‘live at astoria’(about 55 min from beggining).and for your information vai is the only person on earth that can play everything that a human can play, that is in the human abilities i mean.until now noone is better.and i’m not saying for the music because some people dont like his music, but for the ability.

  12. [..YouTube..] I know how to play (nowhere near that good) but I just love watching his lessons hes really down to earth and humorous

  13. [..YouTube..] mmmm, vai can only play what a human can play, but, joe satriani surfs with the alien and rapes all!!

    Posted by irishstuddd44 | December 3, 2007, 4:34 pm
  14. [..YouTube..] sorry for destroying your myth but satriani isn’t a good guitar player.his play is so dirty and he cant perform live(as good as a soloist that he is supposed to be).he has cathcy mellodies thats why he is famous.end

  15. [..YouTube..] I agree on that you can’t really tell the greatest guitarist.

But Vai has been MEASURED to be the fastest shredder. So I think he can play that fast.

  21. [..YouTube..] There is NO ONE like Paul Gilbert… I’m a HUGE Steve Vai fan, but Paul’s technique in simply unbelievable, plus he makes it telling jokes.

There’s NO rock guitarrist like him.

Not to mention he’s been doing this since 1982 or something…

  27. [..YouTube..] … who was Paul’s student ;-)

Not many people know that Buckethead had PaulG as a teacher. No wonder they have such simmilar techniques.

Back in a while, PaulG had a section on his website saying “I am NOT buckethead”. People who did not know who Buckethead is started to think it was PaulG wearing the hat, because the guitar playing was simmilar.
